Kate Beckinsale, a careful mother

Los Angeles: Actress Kate Beckinsale says she is careful about the roles she chooses because she has a teenager daughter.

"Well, I haven`t done an awful lot of nude scenes. And I`ve been somebody who has had a child for a very long time. Most of my peers don`t have a 13-year-old," Beckinsale, who has a daughter Lily, told Allure magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk. The 38-year-old also says she feels she has become a lot more embarrassing to her daughter but tries to gives her enough space. "She`s become a teenager so all of a sudden I became a whole lot more embarrassing than I`d ever been in the past," she said. "I do have a tendency to be that sort of awful mother who thinks she`s really hip so right now I have to give her space and realise that as far as she`s concerned, I am really not cool," she added.
