New Delhi: Akshay Kumar joins the league of Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, known for their unique promotional strategies. He too has devised an innovative marketing concept to promote his upcoming movie `Special Chabbis`.
A brain child of Akshay, the promotional trailer revolves around CBI raids on politicians` houses. The 45-year-old, who has been keeping purposely mum about `Special Chabbis`, is using it to build up interest in the movie.
"Akshay Kumar has consciously stayed away from talking about this film at all. He has kept it under wraps, so that he could do a teaser campaign about raids in various cities of India by a group of CBI officers," a source said.
A real-life heist drama, `Special Chabbis` is directed by Neeraj Pandey of `A Wednesday` fame. It also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Shergill and Anupam Kher.
The `Special Chabbis` trailer will be released at the theatres with `Dabangg 2`, which is coming out Friday.
