Los Angeles: Singer Lionel Richie teamed up with daughter Nicole on stage at a star-studded tribute concert in Las Vegas and described the moment as "surreal".
He opened the show with a solo performance of "All Night Long", before teaming up with Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Jennifer Nettles at the Sin City`s MGM Grand Garden Arena Monday night.
Then the father-daughter pair thrilled the audience by teaming up on the piano to play the track "Climbing", reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Nicole, 30, delivered a moving speech about her father.
"You probably think growing up as Lionel Richie`s daughter, I had some private concerts... and I did. But the whole time he was singing to me, wearing those sweats with his big moustache, I wasn`t listening.
"I was a toddler, not realising that I was hearing some of the best songs recorded in the 1980s," she said.
Richie, 62-year old, described the moment as surreal.
"I`m having a surreal moment because when Nicole was six, I was writing a song for her about the expectations of her life. She remembered it.
"It`s called `Climbing`, and we`re gonna do a little bit of it tonight," said the singer, who also promoted his album "Tuskegee" at the event.
