Sydney: A huge fan of Harry Potter has recreated Hogwarts school using nearly 400,000 LEGO pieces.
Alice Finch, 38, recreated hundreds of scenes from the franchise throughout the school, including Luna Lovegood introducing Harry to the Thestrals, the classroom where Harry, Hermoine and Ron learn about transfiguration and the final duel between Harry and Voldermort.
According to News.com.au, Finch, a Seattle teacher, said she was first inspired to make `professional` style builds after playing LEGO with her son.
Finch said she researched the books and films to find the best way to align the incongruities.
She also toured the Harry Potter Studio in London to see the sets and props.
According to the report, Finch said that a major challenge of this project was choosing whether to build Hogwarts from the books, or the one pictured in the films.
She has taken over 70 photographs of her creation and posted them on Flickr.
She is also creating a photo book with even more photos, which she plans to send to JK Rowling once it`s done.
