Mumbai: Shares of Hero MotoCorp ended the day with gains of nearly 1 percent after the two-wheeler major clocked over 10 lakh units in retail sales during the festive season this year.
At the end of today's trading session, the stock was quoted at Rs 2,591.35, up 0.76 percent on the BSE.
On NSE, it closed for the day at Rs 2,589.70, higher by 0.57 percent.
During the day, the stock had seen an intra-day high of Rs 2,683.80, registering a jump of 4.32 percent over its previous closing price on BSE.

The company after market hours yesterday had said "thanks to the phenomenal customer response to our range of products, including all new launches, the one-million unit landmark was achieved during the 35-day festive period starting with the Navratras".
This is a robust 11 percent growth over corresponding period last year, it added.
"Our two new scooters - Maestro Edge and Duet - have been blockbusters and there has also been phenomenal demand for the new Splendor PRO", the company said.
These, along with the robust sales of Passion PRO and Glamour bikes, and the continuing popularity of Pleasure and Maestro scooters has resulted in this double digit growth, it added.
Meanwhile, the broader market was trading in the positive territory as the Sensex settled for the day with gains of 359 points or up 1.41 percent.
