Fatboy Slim enthralls Indian audience

DJ Norman Cook`s two-hour-long performance in the city today was just not enough for the Indian audience as they kept chanting "we want more".

Gurgaon: DJ Norman Cook`s two-hour-long performance in the city today was just not enough for the Indian audience as they kept chanting "we want more".
On his maiden performance in India, Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim, drove the crowd crazy with his techno hits like ‘Praise You’, ‘The Rockafeller Skank’ and ‘Right Here Right Now’. Nikhil Chinappa and DJ Arjun Waghale kick-started the evening with their hit numbers and warmed up the eager crowd as they waited for Fatboy Slim. The 48-year-old started his performance surprisingly on time, and as he entered the venue, he greeted his fans with a `Namaste`. The event was organised by 6th Dimensional Entertainment owned by popular Indian DJ Nikhil Chinappa. Unlike the past few concerts being organised in Delhi, like Metallica and Bryan Adams, which were cancelled, Fatboy Slim`s show was a huge hit as he performed in front of the 1,000-odd people. Earlier this year, other international artistes like DJ David Guetta and Lady Gaga, among others, had desi audiences grooved to their tunes. The British DJ will be performing in Bangalore on May 6.
