Katy Perry reveals why she put her split on screen

London: Unlike many celebrities who try to hide a painful break-up, Katy Perry has included a revealing footage of her split with Russell Brand in her new documentary film `Part Of Me`.

The warts-and-all movie shows the singer crying as her marriage to Brand falls apart, a leading daily has reported. “I think if people walked out of the theatre and that part of the film was completely avoided, they would be like, ‘Well, there’s an elephant in the room that’s still there’,” explained the 27-year-old singer whose divorce from Brand becomes official on July 14. “I like to go out there looking like a strong woman because I am strong. But I am also a woman who goes through all kinds of problems and highs and lows. I wanted to show the complete spectrum,” Katy told a magazine. ANI
