‘The Muppets` helmer to direct `Alice in Wonderland` sequel

Los Angeles: Filmmaker James Bobin is in early talks to take charge of the sequel to fantasy film `Alice in Wonderland`, currently named `Into the Looking Glass`.

Bobin is expected to work on the project alongside scribe Linda Woolverton, who wrote the first film and returns to pen the latest instalment, reported Ace Showbiz. `Alice in Wonderland` will reportedly be developed in a musical by Disney Theatrical Prods and is said to be directed by Rob Ashford. As of now, Bobin is handling the Muppets second film, `The Muppets... Again!` PTI
