New York: Taylor Swift’s new track ‘We are never ever getting back together’ is said to be based on her former boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.
“It’s definitely about Jake,” the New York Daily News quoted a source as telling US magazine.
Speculation over which unseemly ex-boyfriend — from a pool that included Joe Jonas, ‘Twilight’ star Taylor Lautner, John Mayer and Gyllenhaal — inspired the 22-year-old singer’s new breakup song had mounted since its release last month.
Jonas had told Maryland’s 94.7 Fresh FM immediately after the song was released that he was not the guy.
“I can say it’s not about me, because I don’t think we’ve ever tried another time,” he told the radio station when prodded if he thought he was the former boyfriend referenced on the heart break song.
According The Huffington Post, other clues also pointed towards the 31-year-old actor.
The actor playing the inconsiderate former-love interest gives Swift a scarf in the video for ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.’ The singer had been photographed wearing Gyllenhaal’s scarf when they dated.
Plus the couple actually did briefly and unsuccessfully try to get back together.
In January 2011, the on-again, off-again couple pair were photographed on a dinner date, after their breakup that happened a few days earlier.
