Katy Perry sells house

London: Pop star Katy Perry has sold her New York penthouse apartment for close to its USD 2.75 million asking price.

The 27-year-old singer bought the apartment for the same amount in September 2010, a month before she wed comedian Russell Brand, reported Contactmusic. The 1,500 square foot property is situated in Tribeca and has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a cherry wood staircase, steel kitchen and a south-facing terrace boasting impressive views of the city. Following their split in December, Brand was seen moving out of the USD 6 million property in January. The `Last Friday Night` hitmaker is said to have purchased a USD 1.9 million pad, which comes complete with five bedrooms and bathrooms, as a temporary base until she finds somewhere more permanent to live.
