Mumbai: ‘Chhota Bheem and The Throne of Bali’, the second movie in children`s animated series ‘Chhota Bheem’, is likely to backed by better marketing as its maker, Green Gold Animation, has tied up with Yash Raj Films (YRF) for it.
The first film, ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse Of The Damyaan’, released in 2012, didn`t do too well. The filmmakers then decided to hand over the reins of their next film to a seasoned production house like YRF.
Rajiv Chilaka, the producer and director of the film, is confident that the new movie will be a success this time.
"(The) First time, we did not have much experience. Probably we did not market the film like we are doing it this time, on a larger scale. This time, the film is bigger than the first one. It has lot of songs and music, more monsters and Bheem will be facing bigger challenges," Chilaka, CEO, Green Gold Animation, here in an interview.
"Above all, we are introducing a new character named Arjun in it. So Bheem will get a new friend. The film is technically superb and for kids, it will be highly entertaining," he added.
"Chhota Bheem" shows a nine-year-old boy who lives in the fictional city of Dholkapur with his friends. But Chilaka said that after the second film, Bheem will perhaps be shown as grown-up in future films in the series.
"As of now, Bheem will not grow up. But if in future, our audience will demand that Bheem should grow up and they want to see a bigger avatar of Bheem, we might do it. But at the moment, there is no such plan," he said.
‘Chhota Bheem And The Throne of Bali’ will release in 400 screens across the globe May 3. The TV series of ‘Chhota Bheem’ airs on Pogo channel.
