Mumbai: Sonakshi Sinha found a furry friend in Simba, a lovable Rottweiler puppy, while shooting in Patiala for her forthcoming Diwali release `Son of Sardaar` (SOS).
The actress spent most of her free time playing and taking care of Simba.
"There was a place close to our shooting location where Rottweiler puppies were bred. Sonakshi is a dog lover. In fact she even had a pug earlier. When she saw this puppy in Patiala, she loved him so much that she immediately developed a special connection with him and she named the puppy Simba," said a source from the production team.
"Whenever she got some time off from her shoot, she would go and play with Simba and also with the other puppies. It was like her baby... she even wanted to adopt him," the source added.
SOS, directed by Ashwni Dhir, also features Ajay Devgn, Juhi Chawla and Sanjay Dutt.
It is presented by Viacom18 Motion Pictures in association with Eros International, and co-produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms and YRV Infra & Media (P) Ltd Production.
