Los Angeles: Oscar-winning actress Jodie Foster is stepping behind the camera for her debut as a TV director on a new drama about a female Mafia boss.
Foster, 49, has directed four big screen projects and produced several others but `Angie`s Body` will be the first time she has taken the helm of a TV series, reported Ace Showbiz.
The show will be about a family-based crime empire led by a dangerous woman, and will be penned by Heroes writer Rob Fresco.
Foster will also produce the show. The ‘Silence of the Lambs’ actress previously produced TV movie, `The Baby Dance`, in 1988.
