London: New mother Hilary Duff says her delivery was like a show which her whole family attended with snacks and soda in hand to watch it.
The 24-year-old actress welcomed her first child, a son named Luca Cruz, with hockey star husband Mike Comrie on March 20, a leading daily has reported.
"It (the birthing process) was very easy. I went into labour at about one in the morning and I very calmly had my bags packed and woke my husband up after about three hours of walking up and down my hallway. Then I`m like, `OK, it`s time to go. Let`s go now.` We got in the car and drove to the hospital and that was it," she said.
But the former ‘Lizzy McGuire’ star said after spending nine hours in hospital, her relatives began to grow restless.
"My family gets there and we wait all day and everyone is hungry. We`re Southern and from Texas and my mum and my sister (actress/singer Haylie Duff) actually went down to the food court area.
"All of the sudden the doors bust open and my sister and my mum come flying in. They`re like, `We got barbecue chips and root beer, guys.` I (said), `What? I`m pushing!` They were just arriving for a show with their chips and their root beer."
