'I felt pretty sleepy' Prof. Angus Deaton is said to have joked when he was asked about his feelings on winning the Nobel Prize in Economics, The Guardian reports.
Prof. Angus Deaton, 69, is a well known micro-economist and was awarded the prestigious Nobel Prize in Economics on Monday for his study in the field of consumption, poverty and welfare.

Of his study and contribution to the field, he Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said in its citation, “By linking detailed individual choices and aggregate outcomes, his research has helped transform the fields of microeconomics, macroeconomics and development economics.”
