Mumbai: He is a known face on both the small and big screens. Aanjjan Srivastav, who will be seen as a politician in Shirish Kunder`s `Joker`, says he now aspires to do films that revolve around international subjects.
"I don`t mind what the part is, I want meaty roles. Whether it is commercial or non-commercial cinema, I want a film with an international subject," he said.
What about directing a Bollywood film?
"I don`t want to direct movies right now. But I do plan to direct a play," Aanjjan told reporters.
Best known for films like `Salaam Bombay`, `Flavours`, `Pukar` and `Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa`, he made his mark on television with the popular show `Wagle Ki Duniya`.
Now he will be seen in sci-fi thriller "Joker" that stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles.
" `Joker` is not a big role for me, but it is a very important role in the film," he told IANS and elaborating on his character, he added: "There are three politicians in the film but none of them are interested in a particular piece of `no man`s land`. But after they come to know that some scientific developments is going on that land, everyone wants it."
