Los Angeles: Rappers Drake and Chris Brown are taking each other to court over their scuffle at a nightclub last June.
The two artists and their entourages started throwing punches and bottles at a club in New York, allegedly after an argument broke out over Rihanna, with Brown receiving a gash on his chin, reported TMZ online.
A few months after, a model named Romain Julien filed suit against Brown, Drake and the club, claiming he was caught in the crossfire and received cuts, cosmetic deformity and mental distress.
Now, both Brown and Drake have filed legal documents accusing the other of being responsible for the brawl. Both are essentially asking a judge to decide who would pay the damages should Julien win.
This is the latest in a handful of suits filed in the wake of the brawl.
Along with Julien`s, Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, which owns the club, sued Brown and Drake for USD 16 million, claiming they lost a USD 4 million licensing deal due to bad press from the fight.
NBA star Tony Parker, a bystander that night, also filed suit against the club owners for USD 20 million, claiming he suffered an eye injury in the melee.
Investigators didn`t find enough evidence for either performer to face criminal charges for the incident.
