New Delhi: Dhanush’s ‘Kolaveri Di’ has literally taken the world by storm. The phenomenal Tanglish song which clocked over twenty million hits on You Tube is set to get a rare honour.
Tamil star Dhanush has become the special invitee for the state dinner hosted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda at his 7, Race Course Road residence in New Delhi.
The Tanglish number which literally means ‘killer rage’ deals with broken heart. The song has gone viral worldwide with people from Mumbai to Aukland jiving to the number.
Reportedly, a Hindi version of the song is getting ready. Talking to a daily, Dhanush said, “Yes, I have a Hindi version ready now. It goes ‘Distance pe mere chand chand, mar gayi meri neend’. The track is ready.”
“I am open to singing any language song. ‘Kolaveri Di’ has opened lots of doors for me, so I am deciding which door to choose. ‘Kolaveri’ became a hit because of three reasons- English part connected everyone, the humour in the song and the content, which is common with the youngsters,” he added.
Now, let’s see whether the Japanese PM is ready for the ‘killer rage’ or not?
