London: The formula h = m x s may seem a simple mathematical formula, but it is actually a humour.
The formula devised by evolutionary theorist Alastair Clarke from Cumbria suggests untrue information is the funniest, the Daily Star reported.
He said this was because the survival of the human race depended on correctly reading information.
“The pleasure we get (h) is calculated by multiplying the degree of misinformation perceived (m) by the extent to which the individual is susceptible to taking it seriously (s),” he explained.
