Mumbai: Gollywood will soon stand neck to neck with Bollywood films, with its modern-day film ‘Kevi Rite Jaish’ to prove the brilliance of Gujarati cinema by CineMan Productions. The film which has been shot entirely in Apnu Amdavad is a satire on the obsession of the Patel community migrating to USA. The film is a funny roller coaster ride with its own share of romance, drama, anxiety, desperation, excitement and madness.
The film depicts the journey of a young man and his fixation of fulfilling his dreams of settling in USA. The film although made in Gujarati has a universal appeal and highlights a very poignant issue faced by a lot of families who aspire to settle abroad in search of a better life. The film features established names from bollywood like Rakesh Bedi, Anang Desai, Kenneth Desai, Tom Alter, and Rita Bahaduri. The film will also be a debut platform for Divyang Thakkar and Veronica Gautam.

The way the director, who is a first time film maker, has handled the film, has surprised me with his skill and knowledge about film making and cinema. While shooting this film I did not for a moment feel that we were working towards a Gujarati film the way filmmaker has treated it.”
