New York: Gwyneth Paltrow is currently in talks to star in an indie movie version of Prune chef Gabrielle Hamilton’s culinary memoir, ‘Blood, Bones and Butter.’
The 2011 book follows the chef’s eclectic background, including her childhood in rural Pennsylvania, trajectory to becoming a top New York chef, her troubled marriage and her stint as a lesbian.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the project is “out to writers to adapt” the book, and is being produced by Rodrigo Teixeira, Anne Carey and Mindy Goldberg, the New York Post reported.
The 39-year-old actress has been forging a career in the kitchen in her own right, publishing the cookbook, ‘My Father’s Daughter,’ and as the founder of lifestyle newsletter ‘Goop.’
Meanwhile, Hamilton’s story took some dramatic twists even after her best-selling book was published.
The James Beard Foundation Award-winner was having a secret affair with the husband of her sister, a cookbook publisher and former Saveur editor.
