London: Actor Samuel L Jackson says he does not need to win an Oscar to feel he has enjoyed a good career.
The ‘Django Unchained’ star has only received one Academy Award nomination in his long career - for a supporting role in 1994`s ‘Pulp Fiction’ - but he does not feel he needs a gold statue to validate his work, reported Showbizspy.
"I`ve had a pretty good career. I don`t think it will validate my stature in Hollywood one way or another. I`ve done some pretty interesting things, and it`s been a long and rich career," he said.
The 64-year-old was crowned the highest grossing actor of all time in 2011 - based partly on the success of franchises in which he has appeared, such as ‘Star Wars’ and ‘The Avengers’.
"Winning an Oscar is definitely not going to help my box-office record."
