London: `King Kong` star Naomi Watts is set to star alongside Robin Wright in new movie `The Grandmothers`.
The 43-year-old Australian actress has signed up to appear in the Anglo-French co-production, which is an erotic tale of misguided love based on a novel by author Doris
Lessing.
The Anne Fontaine-directed film will also star Xavier Samuel and James Frecheville, reported Contacmusic.
It tells the story of two life long friends, played by Watts and Wright, who fall in love with each other`s teenage sons and it has been adapted for the big screen by Oscar-winner Christopher Hampton.
Earlier this year, Watts signed up for new boxing drama `The Bleeder`, in which she will team up with her husband Live Schreiber for the first time since 2006`s `The Painted Veil`.
