London: Pop star Katy Perry is set to be honoured by a top US suicide prevention organisation for her efforts in championing gay rights.
The `I Kissed a Girl` hitmaker has long backed The Trevor Project, a non-profit group dedicated to crisis support for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youngsters, and bosses have revealed she is the latest recipient of their Hero Award, reported Daily Express.
Perry, 28, will receive the prize at a Hollywood gala, directed by Adam Shankman, on December 2.
Lady Gaga, Daniel Radcliffe and Susan Sarandon have previously been honoured with the award.
