Seer asks Muslims to give up claim on Ayodhya
Tiruchirapalli (TN), June 29: Seer of Srirangam Periya Ashram, Srimad Andavan Swami, today said Muslims should stop claiming on the disputed site in Ayodhya as a `goodwill gesture`.
Tiruchirapalli (TN), June 29: Seer of Srirangam Periya Ashram, Srimad Andavan Swami, today said Muslims should stop claiming on the disputed site in Ayodhya as a "goodwill gesture".
Mythological and historical references on Lord Rama were older than the Mughal King Babar. Therefore, there could be no second opinion on Ayodhya being the birthplace of Lord Rama and capital of his kingdom, the seer told reporters here.
He said King Babar had died in Delhi and not in Ayodhya and hence, a dargah should not be built in Ayodhya, but in the national capital.
The seer said, "The time had now come for Muslim brethren to give up their claim on Ayodhya as a goodwill gesture."
