London: Emma Watson has reportedly turned down the chance to play the part of Cinderella in a new adaptation of the classic.
The 22-year-old `Harry Potter` star has apparently let go of the role due to her already pretty hectic work schedule, reported Daily Express.
Kenneth Branagh, who is directing the remake of the Disney classic, is said to have offered the part to the British star, but it was claimed Tuesday that Watson will not star in the upcoming film.
However, someone who has agreed to take part in the film is actress Cate Blanchett, who will play Cinderella`s evil stepmother.
Stars rumoured to be in line for the title role include Saoirse Ronan who starred in `Atonement`, `Anna Karenina` star Alicia Vikander and Gabriella Wilde.
