Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor’s much awaited ‘Heroine’ seems to have achieved the status of a blockbuster even before the release of the film. If reports from the web are to be believed, the trailer and first look of Kareena’s ‘Heroine’ has created a buzz among netizens like never before.
According to a tweet from a popular filmi portal, after the makers released the trailer of the film on popular video sharing site YouTube, ‘Heroine’ has garnered a total of 1 million hits in less than 3 days!
Madhur Bhandarkar, the director of the film must have been ecstatic when he tweeted - “Theatrical trailer of Heroine has generated over 62000 video views in two hours.”
In less than 24 hours of its upload, the first promo of ‘Heroine’ got over 1 lakh hits and thousands of likes on YouTube. But, the promo and the film’s posters drew flak too, for violating anti-tobacco laws by showing lead actor Kareena Kapoor smoking.
The reality-inspired film is reportedly based on the life of movie stars in tody`s world of Bollywood. Director Madhur Bhandarkar has however insisted that the film is not inspired from any particular person or instance in the industry.
