New Delhi: Now Apple is out with its news feature, initially launched in the UK. With Apple News, the tech major has joined Google and Facebook battling to redefine people's online news reading habits.
With Apple News, the company says that the readers will not have to switch from app to app to say informed.
According to Wired, Apple News combines articles from multiple sources and brings them into one app. Unlike other aggregator services, articles included in Apple News are designed to reflect the website they came from, with publishers given control over page design.
Articles are optimised for both iPhone and iPad, with interactive elements, galleries and videos all included.
The Telegraph, The Sun, The Financial Times and WIRED are all available on Apple News in the UK from launch.
Early partner publishers in the US include TIME, CNN, The Atlantic, The New York Times, Quartz, Vanity Fair and WIRED.
The report said that Apple News will also adapt over time based on a user's interests, learning which stories are of interest and which less relevant. Stories are displayed on a main feed and can be filtered by favourites or subject matter. Articles can also be shared or saved for later from within the app.
