New Delhi: Is the WhatsApp on your Android smartphone ready to enable video calls for you? It may not be, as the latest version of the messenger is not available in the playstore for downloading as yet.
So what do you do? Well! You can manually download it through the official APK link http://apk.co/whatsapp/whatsapp-21680, and have the latest version of WhatsApp on your Android phone installed.
If you are downloading the APK for the first time, you will get an error saying, "For security, your phone is set to block the installation of apps obtained from unknown sources.”
To resolve the problem, you will have to go to the Setting section of your phone, then go to Security, and then go to Unknown Sources and enable Unknown Sources.
Now your WhatsApp is updated with the option of video calling installed! If you visit any conversation on your WhatsApp, and tap on it, you will come across the option of audio call and video call.
Though, you may not be able to make video call just now, as feature is currently under the testing phase before it is is finally launched in iOS and Android platforms. The good news is that you are all set to go, as it probably won't be too long before you ill see video calling on WhatsApp across platforms.
