Bharti Airtel slashes data download rates by half for prepaid users ahead of Reliance Jio's launch

New Delhi: In a bid to attract and retain customers ahead of Reliance Jio's launch, Bharti Airtel has slashed data download rate by 50% for its pre-paid customers between 3 AM and 5 AM. The time slot has been referred to as Happy Hours by the company in its press release.

The telecom major said that Happy Hours allows Airtel pre-paid customers to get 50% data back for all in-app content downloads scheduled between 3.00 AM and 5.00 AM.

50 MB data will be credited into the account of pre-paid customers who download a 100 MB video.
