Confirmed! Reliance Jio 4G commercial launch on August 15; 1GB data, free calls at just Rs 80

Speculations are rife that the data tarrif will be priced 25 percent less than current plans in the market

New Delhi: Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio Infocomm's 4G services will be commercially launched on 15 August.

Sources also tell the plan that maybe named Freedom, in reference to India's independence day, will offer free voice services and data cost a user much less than what the major players in the telecom sector are offering at present.

Speculations are rife that the data tarrif will be priced 25 percent below than current plans in the market.

Freedom plan may offer 1 GB data and free calls in just Rs 80.
