WATCH: The first official teaser of ‘Satyagraha’ that demands a change!

New Delhi: The first teaser trailer of Prakash Jha’s upcoming movie ‘Satyagraha – Democracy Under Fire’ has been released by UTV Motion Pictures. The teaser in itself is enough to give viewers an insight into the powerful script and storyline. It starts with Kareena Kapoor – who will be playing an international journalist in the movie – giving a voiceover in the background and then continues to a slightly tweaked version of ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. All the main characters in the movie – Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Amrita Rao and Ajay Devgn – can be seen protesting against the corrupt system in the teaser. The scenes show police attacking the public for protesting, which in turn gives rise to a stronger protest from the common man. It ends with a powerful and anger-driven one-liner by Ajay Devgn “Ab sirf ek action hoga, public ka direct action.” The political thriller – directed by Prakash Jha - reflects the uprising of the middle class against a corrupt and unjust system that leaves it with no option other than to challenge the prevailing system. A dynamic and ambitious young man joins hands with an idealistic old man and he ignites a protest that soon turns into a massive movement to fight against the unjust system. The movie if slated to release on August 15, 2013. The movie seems to be an eye-opener of sorts. Here’s the teaser for you to judge!
