London: Alec Baldwin was removed from a flight to Los Angeles after he failed to turn off his iPad when the plane was taking off.
The American Airlines plane was forced to return to the departure gate so the 53-year-old actor could be removed from it, delaying the early morning flight from LAX airport to New York.
The 30 Rock star, who could face a fine over the incident, had been playing a computer game on his iPad, Words With Friends, which Baldwin’s spokesman Matthew Hiltzik said the actor was so in love with that ‘he would risk being thrown off a flight to play’.
Baldwin, who pledged never to use the airline again, vented his frustration over the incident on Twitter.
“Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving.
#nowonderamericaairisbankrupt,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying on Twitter.
The actor later wrote that he had booked another flight on the same day with the same airline.
“Now on the 3 o’clock American flight. The flight attendants already look.....smarter,” he said.
