Washington: Leonardo DiCaprio is teaming up with Martin Scorsese again for the film ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, which is set to start filming by summer. The ‘J Edgar’ star, who has worked with the acclaimed director four times previously, will take a starring role in the movie that is based on the memoir by Jordan Belfort, a website has reported.
It will tell the tale of a hard-partying drug-fuelled stockbroker, who was indicted in 1998 for security fraud and money laundering and consequently served a 22-month prison stretch. DiCaprio and Scorsese have been trying to get the project off the ground since 2007, but now a firm timeline has been set, with the movie shooting in New York in the summer.
Scorsese, 69, will produce the project as well as direct it, with a script by Terence Winter. The two have previously worked together on ‘Gangs of New York’, ‘The Aviator’, ‘The Departed’ and ‘Shutter Island’.
