"At Microsoft, we strive to empower every citizen and every business and government organisation to achieve more. With the newly launched Microsoft Cloud and with Surface Pro 4, our customers have the digital technology they need to seize incredible new growth and opportunity on a global scale."
The Hyderabad-born Microsoft chief was delivering his keynote address on the opening day of the company's two-day customer expo 'Future Unleashed: Accelerating India' here -- the company's largest-ever customer conference in the country.
The Surface Pro 4 will be priced at Rs 75,000 and above, according to trade information.
Nadella said the core sense of purpose and responsibility at Microsoft is to enable every individual to leverage its technology offerings and expertise to help them transform and optimise productivity.
The company will come out with the Lumia 950 and 950 XL in December.
Microsoft India Chairman Bhaskar Pramanik said, "Cloud and mobile technologies are already galvanising the industry here... That innovation is as much what you do with technology as the invention of the technology itself."
To be powered by Windows 10, the Surface Pro 4 will turn into a fully-powered laptop from a tablet while running all desktop software and will have a 12.3-inch PixelSense display weighing just 766 grams.
It comes with 6th generation Intel processors and claims to have a 9-hour battery life with storage options starting at 64 GB and expandable to 128 GB, 256 GB and 500 GB.
