London: Lily Allen has revealed on her Twitter page that she is back in the studio and is working on new material.
The 27-year-old singer has not released any new music since her second album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ in 2009, which was produced by Greg Kurstin.
The pop singer had launched a clothes rental business in 2010 with her sister Sarah.
“You will be pleased to know that I am currently in the studio with @GregKurstin,” the BBC quoted her as tweeting.
“No big deal really, I’m just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing if anything sticks,” she wrote.
Allen announced in 2009 that she was taking a break from the music business.
After making her final performance supporting Muse at Wembley Stadium in September 2010, Allen announced that she was expecting but miscarried six months into her pregnancy.
She set up a fashion rental shop with her sister and also launched her own record label.
Allen married her partner Sam Cooper last summer and the couple had their first child, Ethel Mary, in November.
