Now give longer captions on Snapchat photos

New York: In its new update, photo and video messaging application Snapchat has increased the character limit to "more than double" for captions on the photos.

The news of increase in character limit - which was 33 before - was revealed in a tweet and the company even made sure to note that it was not an April Fools' Day joke, Venturebeat.com reported.

Snapchat, however, did not reveal the exact number to which the character limit has been increased.

The new update comes just days after the Snapchat released the next iteration of its chat feature supporting video and audio calls, notes, and stickers.
