Tata Docomo Tuesday launched a wi-fi device under its Photon series for Rs 2,899 that can connect up to 5 devices and comes with battery power bank.

New Delhi: Tata Docomo Tuesday launched a wi-fi device under its Photon series for Rs 2,899 that can connect up to 5 devices and comes with battery power bank.

The device is also equipped with 32 GB Micro SD card slot that allows personal and shared cloud storage capabilities.

"Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo allow users to connect up to five devices to the Internet including smartphones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs and gaming consoles," the company said in a statement.

It added the device comes with a 4400 mAh power bank which provides battery back-up and also comes equipped with 32 GB Micro SD card slot that allows personal and shared cloud storage capabilities.

The company said this device, which is currently available at brand stores in Delhi and Mumbai, offers download speed of up to 9.8 mbps and upload speed of up to 3.6 mbps.

"Postpaid customers can enjoy smooth video speeds and expect data-hungry applications to run effortlessly between multiple users. The powerful battery back-up also allows users to fully charge their smartphones while continuing to surf," Tata Docomo Head Marketing (Mobility) Gurinder Singh Sandhu said.

The company said Photon series is the market leader in the high speed wireless Internet space.
