New Delhi: The GSM mobile subscribers base in the country increased by 96.9 lakh in November to reach 74.91 crore, industry body COAI said Friday.
The total number of GSM users stood at 73.94 crore at the end of October, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) said.
Country's top operator Bharti Airtel added 28 lakh new subscribers in November to take its base to over 24 crore with a market share of 32.14 percent.
Vodafone added 24.73 lakh users and its base increased to 19.19 crore with a market share of 25.62 percent, whereas Idea Cellular added 33 lakh new subscribers to take its base to 17.06 crore with 22.78 percent share.
Aircel added 4.09 lakh subscribers, while Telenor added 7.05 lakh and their user bases stood at 8.5 crore and 4.9 crore, respectively.
State-run MTNL added 4,211 subscribers to take its base to 35.22 lakh, while Videocon Telecom lost 75,770 subscribers and its base reduced to 77.73 lakh during the reported period.
COAI said BSNL, Reliance Communications and Tata Teleservices had 7.5 crore, 8.3 crore and 4.8 crore GSM subscribers at the end of November 2015,respectively.
