Ranveer Singh to romance Kareena in ‘Ram Leela’

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh, the actor who made a splash in Bollywood with ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ is on a roll. The BBB livewire is known to have grabbed an irresistible offer which will see him romance none other than the queen of Bollywood Kareena Kapoor! Acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has confirmed his next starring Ranveer and Kareena. The film tentatively titled ‘Ram Leela’ will be a directorial return of SLB after his last film ‘Guzaarish’ that released in 2010. Bhansali’s new film marks the end of Kareena’s 13 year long wait to work with him. “We have wanted to work together for a while and I am immensely excited. We met for the first time around the release of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999). She was working on her debut Refugee (2000) then, so we’ve been constantly thinking about talking to each other. I’m happy that this has finally worked out now,” Bhansali revealed. About Ranveer, the director said that he was quite impressed by his performance in his debut, ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. Talking more about the film which is set to go on floors in July this year, Bhansali said “It’s a full on masala movie and is in the ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ kind of space…With 11 songs and great locales, I feel the chemistry between Ranveer and Kareena is going to rock.”
