Angelina Jolie to play own mum in new biopic

London: Angelina Jolie, who recently got a double mastectomy and wants to get her ovaries removed next, is all set to portray the role of her own mother, Marcheline Bertrand , who died of ovarian cancer in 2007, in a new biopic.

The biopic celebrating Bertrand`s life will go into production in 2014 under Brad Pitt`s company `Plan B`, the Daily Express reported. The `Salt` star`s mother was involved in humanitarian work herself and helped women Afghan refugees. She also launched the Give Love Give Life organisation to help fight gynaecological cancers. The 37-year-old actress is still haunted by her mum`s suffering and untimely death at just 56. The Oscar-winning mother-of-six described Bertrand as "grace incarnate". Jolie recently said that she feels blessed that her mum was around to see both her brother and her in a nice place. She added that the late actress waited till everyone was OK and then she closed her eyes. ANI
