New York: Johnny Depp has walked out of a film about notorious Boston gangster, Whitey Bulger, after he was asked to cut his usual fee in half.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 49-year-old actor won`t be starring in the upcoming Barry Levinson directed film ` Black Mass ` after the project failed to attract a large number of bids at Cannes, the New York Daily reported.
Producers, who were hoping to trim their budget from the originally projected 60 million dollars, have asked Depp if he would take half of his usual 20 million-dollar fee.
But the `Sleepy Hollow` star refused to agree to the paycut and backed out from the production.
