Mumbai: Prateik Babbar’s new film ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ is making news for not just for the actor’s real life romantic link up with co-star Amy Jackson, but for reasons more sizzling than that. Trade pundits predict that the film might not pass through the Censors thanks to some hot scenes between Prateik and Amy. Even as ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ gears up for release on February 17, makers have started to worry about the couple’s steamy sequence in EDT. Sources said that the scene was shot recently but once the makers had a look at it, they realised that the Censor Board might have a problem with it. “And to avoid any further hurdles (after the Hosanna controversy), we have taken the decision to edit some scenes from the final cut. Though we maintain that it is a beautifully shot sequence and doesn’t look vulgar at all,” said the spokesperson. When contacted, director Gautham Menon confesses that his team is still pondering about the fate of the sequence. “The scenes are aesthetically shot, so we are left thinking whether to tone it or completely edit it,” he says, adding Amy and Prateik were extremely professional during the shoot of the sequence. Recently, the film landed in trouble when a Catholic community, Catholic-Christian Secular Forum (CSF) was irked with the word ‘Hosanna’ in a song. Well, wish all luck to Prateik and Amy’s ‘Ek Deewana Tha’.
