New Delhi: Realty major DLF Thursday said it has received the 'Sword of Honour' award from the British Safety Council for maintaining highest safety standards in six commercial buildings in Delhi-NCR.
The company received the award for six buildings, including its corporate office 'DLF Centre' and three shopping malls in Delhi.
"DLF malls are the only malls in Asia and Middle East that have received prestigious '5 Star' Excellence Certification and 'Sword of Honour' award from British Safety Council," the realtor said in a statement.
DLF's food zone 'Cyber HUB' in Gurgaon and two multi-level car parking projects in Delhi got this award. This is the highest grading awarded by British Safety Council in Occupational Health & Safety management system, DLF said.
This award "not only encourages us to continuously strive for excellence but also places responsibility of continued adherence to the highest safety standards," DLF's CEO (Rental Business) Sriram Khattar said.
British Safety Council is a global body working for enhancing safety of individuals, space and lives at work.
Its role is to help organisations achieve the highest health and safety standards set by law, to protect their staff and future of the business.
DLF is the country's largest realty firm with a land bank of nearly 300 million sq ft.
