Mumbai: The awards season has started and with it returns the debate whether they are genuine or rigged. Actor-director Farhan Akhtar believes attending an award function is a proof that you do believe in their authenticity.
"When you attend awards every year, it is proof enough that you do believe in the people who are in the jury or the audience. So I attend with the belief that it is a fair system. If I didn`t, I would have not attended," the 38-year-old said at an event here.
Farhan`s directorial venture `Don 2: The King is Back` and his sister Zoaya`s `Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara` are in the fray for the Filmare Best Film award. Farhan produced both `Don 2` as well as `Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara`.
