London: Madonna appears in a provocative ad for her new fragrance, in which she touches her breasts saying “I know I shouldn’t act this way.” The eagerly awaited perfume, called Truth or Dare, is the 53-year-singer’s debut scent and is aimed at women aged from 25 to 45.
In the video, the pop queen writhes around with a bottle of perfume, cups her breasts and says things like: “I know I shouldn’t act this way. Good girls don’t act this way but I’m a bad girrrrll.”
“I have always been obsessed by fragrance and for years wanted to create something personal that was an expression of me, but that other people could relate to as well. Something classical and timeless and yet modern,” a leading daily has quoted her as saying.
“My oldest memory of my mother is her perfume. I carry it with me everywhere. She always smelled like gardenias and tuberose, an intoxicating mixture [that was] feminine and mysterious. I wanted to re-create this scent, but with something fresh and new about it as well. Something honest and yet daring — hence the name Truth or Dare,” she said.
Produced by Coty Prestige, Madonna joins scores of celebrities in launching a fragrance including the likes of Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Hally Berry, Victoria Beckham, Britney Spears Katy Perry, Usher and Tulisa Contostavlos.
