18-year-old engineering student hacked to death in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: An 18-year-old was on Saturday hacked to death here while he was on his way to home. The incident took place in the wee hours on the Tank Bunk road in the Nungambakkam area.

Identified as Ranjith, the victim was a resident of Appu Street. An identity card was recovered from him which said that he was a student of ITI college in Guindy. 

The murder was caught on CCTV cameras. In the CCTV footage, the 18-year-old was seen bleeding terribly. 

Ranjith who was rushed to the hospital immediately after being spotted was declared brought dead.
