New Delhi: Amidst ongoing consultations among opposition leaders on the upcoming Presidential Election, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will attend the birthday celebrations of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) supremo M Karunanidhi in Chennai on June 3.
Besides Rahul Gandhi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah, RJD chief Lalu Prasad, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, TMC Parliamentary Party chief Sudip Bandhopadhyay, CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI MP D Raja, and Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy will be present on the occasion when the diamond jubilee of Karunanidhi's entry into the Tamil Nadu Assembly will be celebrated.
Karunanidhi will celebrate his 94th birthday and 60th year as a legislator this Saturday.
The party is organising a function at YMCA ground in Royapettah in Chennai.
Before the event, Rahul will also travel to Telangana on June 1, where he will address a rally on the completion of three years of the state.
