New Delhi: It was November 15, the year was 1989 and venue was Karachi when a 16-year-old Sachin Tendulkar made his Test debut for India, playing against arch-rivals Pakistan. The timid and shy boy stepped out on the cricket pitch in Indian whites for the first time.
Many present and past cricketers including Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Harbhajan Singh paid tribute to the Master Blaster on this historic day.

Tendulkar went on to play 24 years of cricket and amassed 200 Test matches with 15,921 runs. Establishgin a godly status in the sport, he went on to score 51 centuries and 68 half centuries.
