New Delhi: Earlier, Virender Sehwag took to micro-blogging site Twitter to convey his heartfelt gratitude towards Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday.
But he hasn't forgotten wishing fellow cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin, who was also born on September 17.
Here's what Viru tweeted:
Happy Birthday @ashwinravi99 .May u keep on tumbling more records
— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) September 17, 2016
Do full on'Ash'today, long season coming, there u will 'Win'#ShaatirPlayer
Ashwin, who turned 29 today, has developed himself as one of the most prominent all-rounders in Indian cricket with his heroics with both bat and ball in the recently concluded West Indies tour.
Not just that, Ashwin grabbed his sixth Man-of-the-Series Award, surpassing the tie by Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag in August 2016. The accomplishment is further glorified considering it was only his 13th test series, and 8th series where he played every test.
Just like Viru, every Indian cricket fan hopes the right-arm off spinner keeps on breaking records and take the sport to new heights.
